NIGERIA AT 60🇳🇬





AN ASSESSMENT OF MY ONGOING LIFE

I was once a little boy,  now  I AM 60 . I am a body made of diverse conflicting parts. They say "a fool at 40 is a fool forever" but I am 60 and I don't know how many years I have left. Can I still right my wrongs? Are they even my wrongs? I know everyone censures me for the 'old man' I have become. But is it really my fault or everyone's? Right from my birth till this day, I have always been accused by all. Am I that bad? 😔

I do not intend to stay in my mess forever, so I want to know what you think about my life so far. Your response to my questions will do a lot of good. My name is NIGERIA.

    -Military, in a way. Though I have never experienced military rule but i think it's better than democratic where power is misused, funds are embezzled and nobody to check it.
    -How the current leaders go about things, not only the leaders though. We also have our parts to play but what can we do when the masses' contribution doesn't count.

    Democratic Government

    My grandfather told me a lot of stories abouy the military rule. My father also told me a little about that. Whenever I remember some of those stories and compare them with the Democratic rule we have now, I'd say I prefer this to that.

    When the military rules, they see every person as themselves.

    Democratic is always the best though. Military government is dangerous. Anything can happen at any time
    And Nigeria in herself isn't bad. She's how she is because of how her citizens have treated her.
    Best Nigerian president...I would say Obasanjo

    I wasn’t born during the Military era, all I heard were stories but from History and from everything i have learnt I have never and i would never go for a Military Government for Nigeria!!! Military Government comes with so much habitualness and that is why anytime the Military Government comes into Power the 1st thing they do is to suspend the Constitution, The Constitution that should ordinarily guide the people, The Constitution that Governs the Lawful State, The Constitution that protect the Legitimacy of the Government it is the first thing they suspend.
    Then the 2nd thing they try to do also is to contain the media and then the 3rd thing is the Judiciary they try to go after the Judiciary but however we see during those military era where sometimes the Judiciary will sometimes stand up and say this is still unfair,so from History there’s no way i will support Military over Democracy Government!!!
    We’ve even been seeing it m several people who have been Military head of state, who now came into the Democratic dispensation also do the same thing... like Military they have rules of Engagement they are being taught in a particular way, but when we are talking about Democracy, the People is always at the fore front when we talk about Democracy, it shows that yes everbody has a right, you can’t infringe right. Military dispensation there is so much infringement of rights...that you are speaking so much and they decide to end your life!!! They can say you shouldn’t talk, Military is more of less like a robotic system of Government.
    So history has shown that and it has been reoccurring that is why even when we have former Military head of state in the democratic dispensation, you will find out that some of this traits is still what shows in how they Govern the state, So i would never go for Military but Democracy. We see what Democracy has done, Imagine the recent protest, you think you can protest in a Military system of Government???
    Anytime any day I’ll go for a Democratic system!!!

  C U R I O U S   M I N D       My mind travels, sometimes in cycles. If yours don't, you are most likely not a wise person (don't stone me).      They lied to you that 'curiosity kills the cat'.  In actual fact, it's the only way the cat lives long.        So yesterday, my fiance came around and when I thanked him for stopping by, he said, "if I don't, who will."   It's 4am and I have been up since yesterday evening, solving the puzzle. What does he mean? Why did he reply so fast? Am I that bad that no one else can check up on me? Was he saying it out of love?       No, that can't be!
