WHAT I WANTED VS WHAT I GOT
WHAT I WANTED๐ VERSUS WHAT I GOT๐
It takes growth and adulthood to come to terms with the fact that You don't always get what you want. In fact, a major sign of maturity is the ability to make do with what you have (now I am sounding like a loser).
I bet we have all found ourselves in places where we were like, "How did I get here!" If you have not, you shouldn't be reading this, it's rated PG!
I am not @Aprokodoctor but Gist is my middle name. So I will be sharing with you stories of people I know who life and happenstance have shown "seniority" to.
Someone I know discovered on his wedding night the magic of bride transformation. Oh, poor Alex (lmao), Figure 8 BABE (now wifey) transfigured into a pot-bellied WOMAN. Sad thing is, he found out at the point of wedding night activities. Alex had sworn to name his first child AMOEBA if he ever marries a pot-bellied Madam. The rest is history now (still lmao)๐คฃ
Alexa, someone's sister, She got a federal government job at the ministry of tourism in a state we must not mention. The joy on her face cracked me up, she thought she no longer had to worry about job security, unfair exploitation by private employers etc. Her first blow was a 5-month salary delay. At the end of 6months, Alexa was transformed into a movie-loving, Money owing, gist chasing, talkative of a young lady. E restrict airflow!
Someone's kid brother Tony watched his older twin siblings apply to study accounting and end up graduating with B.ed Adult Education and B.A library studies. I mean, where is the link? He was the least ambitious in the house, He was denied admission at the school of his first choice but offered JAMB admission at a school he had never heard of to study Accounting. Omo, Life is humorous but we meuuve!
I wonder the disappointment mixed with the joy someone's parents felt when they had twins after 4 children. They wanted a girl child so they tried for the last time and gbam! Twins!! A boy and a girl!!! Man that was still struggling to pay house rent and feed 4 boys. Make I shock you, that was nothing compared to the tears on Madam's face when she got pregnant again while breastfeeding the twins๐, She almost aborted. Not all her fault though, na Oga no fit hold body. That was how they added a boy to the family o. At least, a girl child would have been a compensation. Madam looks at his big head sometimes like... but child na child, wetin man go do!
In the end, it is not the disappointments of life or what life throws at you that matters, but what you make of it. As they say; when life throws you a lemon, enjoy your lemon (it is healthy), plant the seeds, harvest more lemons and sell them! Aspire to acquire the entire rewire (lol).
-In a sentence, what is the link between the four stories?
-Is there any of the stories you can relate with, which one?
-What is your What I wanted Versus What I got story?
